I have many customers that purchase these as a back-up to their current unit. Magnavox (as well as other brands) look nearly identical but it is important to know that if the model numbers are different then the capabilities or features are different. If there are certain features you must have please confirm through me or other sources that this particular unit

has what you are looking for. I am more than happy to resolve any potential issues, but receiving your item and realizing that its not compatible with your TV OR DVDs is not considered a defective device.
If you request a return stating that item is defective and it is determined that it is fully functioning, original shipping charges will be withheld from your refund.

*This machine is specifically designed to prevent recording of copyright protected media. If your tapes or media connected through "Line-In" are copy protected, you will NOT be able to record! This includes some TV programming as well!
This item will be packaged with extreme care and over-precaution to ensure a safe journey to you! It will be double boxed!
A signature may be required for delivery
of this item at my expense and discretion. I will no longer ship these units via USPS except in VERY rare circumstances so physical addresses only please. I NEVER charge a handling fee of any kind so any additional insurance and/or signature confirmation is paid by me. Proper packaging is a cost of doing business the right way!

List of service done prior to listing:
-Mode control switch has been inspected, cleaned, and greased.
-Back tension has been corrected.
-Remote sensor has been replaced as well as 14 capacitors.
-VCR has been aligned using a factory test tape with tone (SP) and oscilloscope.
-All solder joints have been inspected and many touched up.
-Fuse has been replaced. (I do this with every unit).
-Audio heads have been cleaned.
-Pinch roller has been cleaned.
-Capstan shaft has been cleaned.
-IR sensors that control loading mechanism and tape end have been cleaned and tested.
-All gears have been greased and timing has been adjusted to the correct position.
-Cooling fan has been cleaned.
-DVD lens (optical pick-up) has been cleaned.
-Gears that control the DVD tray have been cleaned and greased.
-DVD tray switch has been cleaned (tells the machine if the tray is open or closed)
-All functions, inputs, and outputs have been tested and are working.

If a return is necessary, buyer is responsible properly package the item to prevent any damage. Refunds will not be given unless the item is returned undamaged, unaltered, and is fully functioning. If the tamper indicating seal is not intact and/or the serial number does not match the original listing and documentation, I will report it to eBay and seek prosecution and/or compensation as this will indicate fraud. All refurbished electronics also contain unique markings inside of them that is documented by me at the time of service.
I refuse to pass on added costs caused by fraudulent buyers to those who are honest.
I will stop at nothing to recover the costs caused by those who try to game the system.
I may request acknowledgement of serial number through eBay messenger before shipping for certain items. If I am unable to contact you after 24 hours I reserve the right to cancel your purchase OR accept a non reply as acknowledgment of the the serial number.
Tamper indicating labels and/or seals with unique sequential coding will be applied to certain electronics or components. If your item(s) have a label, an image will be sent at time of shipping clearly showing the number on the seal as well as the serial number for the item. These seals and/or labels will have no effect on functionality or general over-all appearance, and are only used to prevent fraudulent returns.
